Instant Glitch Presets

Fast copy-and-paste glitch text for profiles and chats

Glitch text is plain Unicode text transformed with combining marks that attach directly to each character. Because it is standard Unicode rather than a font file or image, you can copy it straight to your clipboard and paste it into Instagram bios, Discord messages, WhatsApp statuses, TikTok comments, or gaming profiles.

Use the instant preset buttons below to copy popular glitch intensities with a single click, or drag the three sliders to customize the exact mark density above, through, and below your letters.

How to generate and copy glitch text in 3 steps

1. Type or paste your text: Enter any words, usernames, or phrases into the input box above. Your glitched text renders in real-time as you type.

2. Fine-tune the chaos: Use the three independent sliders to adjust marks above, through, or below each character. Alternatively, click one of the quick presets (Subtle, Balanced, or Chaos) for instant results.

3. Copy and paste anywhere: Click the Copy text button to save the output to your clipboard. Paste it straight into your social profile, bio, or chat app.

Why three independent sliders matter for readability

Most basic glitch generators provide a single "craziness" knob that applies marks indiscriminately. This tool splits intensity into the three distinct zones Unicode diacritics occupy: marks stacked above, strike-through marks running through the middle, and marks dripping below.

Marks running through the middle are the primary cause of illegibility and box ("tofu") rendering glitches on mobile operating systems. Keeping middle intensity low while increasing top and bottom marks gives you visually intense glitch text that remains readable and survives strict byte limits.

Where can you paste glitch text?

Because the output is standard Unicode text, it works across almost every modern social platform and game that accepts text input:

• Social Media: Instagram bios, captions, and Reels; TikTok usernames and video descriptions; X (Twitter) handles and posts; Facebook status updates.

• Messaging & Chat: Discord messages, channel topics, and server nicknames; WhatsApp status updates and group names; Telegram messages.

• Gaming: Steam display names, Minecraft chat, Roblox bios, and gamer tags where Unicode diacritics are supported.

Frequently asked questions

Is "glitch text" different from "glitch font"?

No — both terms refer to the same underlying technique: stacked Unicode combining marks. "Glitch font" is a common search term, but no downloadable font file (.ttf/.otf) is required because it uses standard Unicode characters.

Can I copy this glitch text into a text file or document?

Yes, it is plain Unicode text and works in any application that accepts text input, including Notepad, Word, Google Docs, and code editors.

Why does my glitch text look different when I paste it somewhere else?

Combining marks are rendered by the receiving app's operating system and default font engine. Spacing, kerning, and mark vertical positioning can shift slightly between iOS, Android, and Windows — this is normal.

Does glitch text work on Discord and Instagram?

Yes, both platforms fully render Unicode combining marks in messages and bios. On Instagram bios, keep intensity moderate because Instagram counts each combining mark toward its 150-character limit.

Is my text sent to a server when I use this tool?

No. The entire glitch generation engine runs client-side in your web browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type is ever uploaded, logged, or transmitted across the internet.

Can I control how glitchy or corrupted the text looks?

Yes — you can drag the three individual sliders for marks above, through, and below your letters, or click instant preset buttons ranging from subtle accent glitches to heavy chaotic zalgo distortion.
